Lomachenko and Kambosos to Rematch
A Rematch for the Ages
Vasiliy Lomachenko and George Kambosos Jr. are both looking to regain their status as lightweight world champions when they rematch in the ring on October 16, 2023. The former unified lightweight world champions will face off in a highly anticipated rematch that is sure to be one of the biggest fights of the year.
Lomachenko lost his unified lightweight titles to Teofimo Lopez in October 2020, but rebounded with a dominant win over Masayoshi Nakatani in June 2021. Kambosos won the WBA, IBF, and WBO lightweight titles by defeating Lopez in November 2021, but lost his belts to Devin Haney in June 2022.
Both Lomachenko and Kambosos are hungry to prove that they are the best lightweight in the world. The rematch is sure to be a close and competitive fight, and the winner will likely be crowned the undisputed lightweight champion.
