Polling now completed for 7 phases

The world's largest electoral exercise, the Indian General Elections 2024, has concluded its seventh and final phase of polling. As of 11:45 PM, the estimated voter turnout stands at 61.63%. This marks the culmination of a month-long democratic process that saw millions of eligible voters cast their ballots to elect representatives to the 543-member Lok Sabha.

Phase-7 voter turnout

In the seventh phase, which was held on June 1, voting took place in 59 constituencies across eight states and one Union Territory. The highest voter turnout was recorded in Bihar (67.26%), followed by Uttar Pradesh (64.21%) and Punjab (63.76%).

With the completion of all seven phases, the focus now shifts to the counting of votes, which is scheduled to take place on May 16. The outcome of the election will determine the political landscape of India for the next five years.
