Russell Nathan Coltrane Jeanson Martin Jr. was born on February 15, 1983, in Montreal, Canada. He played collegiate baseball at Louisiana State University before being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2002 MLB Draft.

Major League Career

Martin made his MLB debut with the Dodgers in 2006 and quickly established himself as a talented catcher. Over the course of his 14-season career, he played for six teams, including the Dodgers, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays, and San Francisco Giants. Martin was a four-time All-Star and known for his excellent defense and offensive contributions.
